You Can’t “Be Jesus” to Anyone

  • Jeff Vanderstelt talks about why we ought to avoid telling people to “be Jesus” to other people. This perspective is critical as we seek to make disciples. We do not, in and of ourselves, bring heart-change to anyone. Rather, we are Spirit-empowered messengers of the gospel that is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom 1:16).

    1. Amen! The Spirit must come before the fruit!

“Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6
